What is Tekken?

Tekken is a series of fighting games developed and published by Namco. Originally an arcade game, versions exist for the PlayStation consoles and portable, Xbox 360, and Game Boy Advance. The story in each game in the series documents the events of the fictional martial arts tournament, The King of Iron Fist Tournament.

Street Fighter X Tekken (pronounced Street Fighter Cross Tekken)is an upcoming crossover fighting game being developed by Capcom. The game was announced at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International. It is also a sequel to the 2005's japanese role-playing title, Namco × Capcom.

The game will feature characters from both the Street Fighter and Tekken series.
The gameplay will be based on the 2D mechanics of Street Fighter
IV as opposed to Tekken, and will feature projectile moves such as the hadouken.

The game is set to release for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
